HOCKEY IS BACK IN NEW MEXICO WITH THE NM ICE WOLVES OPENING WEEKEND THIS FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 8-9   

Outpost Ice Arenas in Albuquerque Home to Huge Weekend of Hockey and Skating for Fans and Families with NAHL, NA3HL and NM Ice Youth Games Along with Public Skating Opportunities All Weekend

(Albuquerque, NN) ____________ 2023 – The New Mexico Ice Wolves® today announced the start of their 2023-2024 North American Hockey League (NAHL) regular season with a two-game homestand against South Division rival Lone Star Brahmas on Friday and Saturday, September 8-9 at 6:30pm MT at Outpost Ice Arenas in Albuquerque. Game day, season tickets and Flex Plan ticket packs for the NAHL NM Ice Wolves are available at tickets.nmicewolves.com. The NM Ice Wolves are entering their fifth season in the NAHL coming off of a 33 win season last year that included 13 players making NCAA college hockey commitments, with 9 of the them being at the Division I level. 

 

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) NM Ice Wolves team will host Colorado Springs U18AAA ahead of the NAHL games in a preseason exhibition series on both Friday and Saturday, September 8-9 at 2:45pm MT to kick off a doubleheader each day.  Tickets for the NA3HL exhibition game are free to fans and only subject to space availability.

 

On Ice Tickets/Public Skating is available during the NAHL NM Ice Wolves evening games and Saturday’s NA3HL game from 2-5pm MT. Ahead of the Friday night NAHL game fans are welcome to come early to cheer on the NM Ice Youth U16AA team as it hosts the Colorado Springs U16AAA team at 5pm MT. The same two youth teams will play again at 11:15am MT on Saturday, September 9 with both games open to the public.

 

More Public Skating opportunities are available to skaters and groups on Sunday, September 10 for CooLLoop public skating as four independent ice sheets become one large skating loop. CooLLoop™  sessions for Sunday are immediately below:

  • 11:30am-1:30pm
  • 2-4pm
  • 4:30-6:30pm
