The New Mexico Ice Wolves visited the Oklahoma Warriors for their first road game of the season. The teams engaged in a goaltender dual with Ryan Galaski and Jakub Hanlan both making critical saves throughout the game. The Warriors opened the scoring just before the four minute mark of the first period with Adam Bauer getting the home team on the board, a lead they would take into the intermission. The second period would see Nolan Beddow score his first NAHL goal doubling the Warriors lead 5:50 into the second period. The Ice Wolves would start the momentum shift just two minutes later as Charlie Velner would score his first goal in the NAHL to bring the Ice Wolves within a goal heading into the third period. Under four minutes into the final period Caleb Debruyne would score his first goal at the NAHL level to tie the game at two goals a piece. The game would remain tied for only 1:10 as Jackson Hone would find the back of the net for the go ahead goal and the eventual game winner. The teams will do battle again Saturday, September 19 at 7:00pm CT/6:00pm MT with all of the action on NATV.
