(Albuquerque, New Mexico) Friday, September 13, 2019 – The New Mexico Ice Wolves™ today announced four team captains in Keenan Johnson as Team Captain and Jackson Wille, Drew Lorinchak and Andrei Golikov as Assistant Captains who will lead the hockey team in its inaugural 2019-2020 NAHL season.
“These players have been our clear leaders since the first day of training camp,” said Phil Fox, New Mexico Ice Wolves Head Coach. “The New Mexico Ice Wolves want consistency, commitment and caring characteristics in our leaders. Our four captains have all these qualities and also have experience playing junior hockey. I have confidence that these four young men will lead our team to the high standard that we demand and are committed to.”
Keenan Johnson– Defenseman from Menomonie, WI and an NAHL South veteran who has played with the Topeka Pilots for the past two seasons.
Jackson Wille – Forward from Forest Lake, MN, Wille has NAHL experience having played last season the Jamestown Rebels.
Drew Lorinchak – Forward from Hamilton, VA who will be playing his first season in the NAHL.
Andrei Golikov- Russian born Defenseman who played in Russia through the 2017-2018 season. He started last year with the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the USHL and ended the year in the NAHL South with the Corpus Christi IceRays.
