ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — When sports return, the New Mexico Ice Wolves are looking for some big things.
In year one, the Ice Wolves were picked as the NAHL organizations of the year.
Ice Wolves owner Stan Hubbard feels that year two is when that award will turn into wins.
“We did assume that we weren’t going to have a winning season in our first year,” Hubbard said. “It’s a league where you need players to get a couple years under their belt and have some experience. We were very young team last year as an expansion franchise, so I think we’re gonna have an exciting year this upcoming season and I think we’re going to see a whole lot more wins in the column.”
