Ice Wolves tender Fabian Westling Alm

Apr 27, 2020

Albuquerque, NM –  The NM Ice Wolves are proud to announce that they have signed a tender agreement with 2000-born Swedish forward Fabian Westling Alm.

Westling Alm spent the 2019-2020 season playing for Timrå IK J20 in the J20 SuperElit, Sweden’s highest-level junior league alongside the most recent NM Ice Wolves tender, Philip Pallin. The 6-foot-1 forward played in all 44 games ending up with 28 points (15g, 13a) and finished second on the team in goals.

After spending his entire junior career in Sweden, Fabian is excited to make the leap to the North American Hockey League and joining the NM Ice Wolves organization. “I’m very excited to come over and play for the New Mexico Ice Wolves. I’ve only heard good things about the organization. I hope to contribute and work hard to help the team win as many games as possible and make the playoffs. This is also a great opportunity for me to develop as a hockey player and person.”

NM Ice Wolves head coach Phil Fox thinks Westling Alm will fit well in Ice Wolves organization saying, “We are very excited signing Fabian to a Tender. Fabian brings a lot of experience to our club. He is a big strong power forward who likes to shoot the puck. He doesn’t shy from physical play and gets to the hard areas for his offense. We’re really looking forward to having Fabian be a part of the Ice Wolves, and look forward to developing him even further as a hockey player and individual.”
